GHK-Cu (CAS 89030-95-5; molecular formula C14H23CuN6O4, average molecular weight ≈ 403 g/mol; composition Gly-His-Lys · Cu(II)) is the copper(II) complex of the tripeptide glycyl-L-histidyl-L-lysine. The free GHK tripeptide was first identified in human plasma by Pickart and Thaler (Nature: New Biology, 1973) — the foundational characterisation of the molecule.
