Freeze-dried to a dry powder — the stable form research peptides are supplied in before reconstitution.
Lyophilisation (freeze-drying) removes water from a peptide solution under vacuum, leaving a dry, stable powder. Almost every research peptide is supplied lyophilised because the dry form is far more stable in storage than a solution — it is kept frozen and only reconstituted into a liquid working stock when a protocol needs it.
A lyophilised vial is reconstituted with bacteriostatic water for laboratory handling. Store the powder at −20°C; once reconstituted, refrigerate at 2–8°C and use within the documented research window.
