Growth-hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH) is a hypothalamic hormone that acts on the GHRH receptor as part of the somatotrophic axis. Stabilised synthetic analogues of GHRH — such as CJC-1295 (no DAC), also called Mod GRF (1-29), and tesamorelin — are studied as GHRH-receptor research tools.
GHRH analogues are one of the two receptor-distinct classes of growth-hormone secretagogue; the other is the GHRPs. The two are frequently studied in combination.
